1. Passport

2. Visa (If Required)

• Apply for visas well in advance — some countries require 4–8 weeks of processing time.
• Double-check whether you need a transit visa for layover countries.

3. Boarding Pass

Your proof of flight reservation. Options include:

• Mobile boarding pass: Download via the airline's app — available 24 hours before departure on most airlines.
• Printed boarding pass: Print at home or at an airport kiosk. Some international destinations require a paper copy.

4. Government-Issued Photo ID

In addition to your passport, carry a backup form of photo ID:

• REAL ID-compliant driver's license is required for domestic US flights starting May 2025.

• If renting a car abroad, bring your driver's license and check if an International Driving Permit (IDP) is needed.

5. Travel Insurance
